In the first half of the 18th century many Jews already lived in Užventis. In 1750’s Jewish community received the permission to build a synagogue. Probably at the similar time – in the second half of the 18th century – the old Jewish cemetery was established.
The cemetery is located outside the town near the main road to Kolainiai village. Highroad leads to the cemetery. However, only a few tombstones remained.

XVIII a. I p. Užventyje jau gyveno daug žydų. 1750 m. jiems suteikta teisė pasistatyti sinagogą. Greičiausiai panašiu metu miestelio žydai įsteigia ir kapines – XVIII a. II p.
Kapinės yra už miestelio, greta pagrindinio kelio Kolainių link. Išlikę nedaug paminklinių akmenų.
